A small team of brothers designed the London SMPW Manager (LSM) software to manage London’s Special Metropolitan Public Witnessing.
Now LSM is used to manage SMPW in multiple cities around the world.

How LSM Started
The LSM project originated when the coordinating brothers of the London SMPW programme identified the need for a new website—one capable of addressing the growing organisational and functional needs of the programme. The previous platform had become outdated and increasingly difficult to maintain.In December 2019 approval was granted to a small team of two brothers to begin development. During the pandemic the site was launched for extensive testing involving hundreds of users—both tech-savvy and non-technical—who explored its features and helped identify a wide range of usage scenarios.Over time the LSM team has grown to include over 30 volunteers, now organised into four key departments: Development, Design, Documentation, and Translation.
Each of these departments has an appointed overseer, and the LSM project as a whole is under the care of a designated overseer, working in harmony with the London SMPW Coordination Team, who provide overall oversight and direction.LSM's Journey
Following a successful testing phase and recognising the benefits the tool could bring to others, the London SMPW team made the decision to offer the system to other SMPW programmes across Britain, and eventually to those internationally.Over the past six years, LSM has been continually refined and expanded, with new features regularly added to support the varying needs of SMPW programmes in diverse locations.
As interest increased from non-English-speaking cities, a major initiative in 2024 enabled full multi-language functionality. The platform is now available in Spanish, Italian, and French, and is built to support translation into any other required language.The team behind LSM
The team of brothers and sisters consist of developers, testers, translators and documenters all working behind the scenes maintaining the software and building new features.. They are remote workers based in England, Portugal and Cyprus.
